Water-weigh
In addition to the individual feed intake, the monitoring of the individual water intake and water intake behaviour could also provide relevant information for research. The individual water intake is recorded with the specially designed RIC water-weigh trough. The RIC water-weigh trough can be used to expand the RIC feed-weigh system to gather more data on individual cow (feeding and drinking) behaviour.
WATER-WEIGH TROUGH
The RIC water-weigh trough continually and accurately measures and registers which specific cow is drinking which amount of water in which time slot. The water-weigh trough is placed with an intelligent feeding gate that identifies the cow and measures the drinking time. After a cow has drunk its fill, the trough is automatically refilled with fresh water. The RIC water-weigh trough is sufficient for 10 to 20 cows (depending on local climate and legislation).
